I had a pleasant stay in this charming hotel with a fantastic view over the water. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for my needs. However, the breakfast service was a bit rushed, and a few areas of the hotel felt cramped. Overall, it was great value for money at £68 for bed and breakfast.

Rooms
7.0
My room was small but clean and had a great view out over the water. The mattress was quite hard, which might not suit everyone.
Service
8.0
The staff were helpful and friendly, although there were some gaps in their knowledge about parking restrictions.
Location
9.0
The location is superb, right on the water and close to the town center. I loved waking up to the sound of the waves.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was adequate but a bit rushed since it started at 7:30. The cooked breakfast I had was just okay.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel has some older features and could use a bit of investment in certain areas, but it was functional.

The hotel offers stunning views over the port, making it a nice spot for a short stay. My room was tiny but comfortable, and the restaurant served delicious meals, notably the shrimp cocktail and sirloin steak. Unfortunately, the water pressure in the shower was quite low, and the room curtains didn't block out enough light at night, which was a bit inconvenient. The overall presentation of the buffet and the worn dining chairs could use some attention.

Rooms
6.0
The room was tiny but cozy, with a lovely view of the harbour, although the low water pressure in the shower was a downside.
Service
5.0
The service was adequate, but I had to handle my own luggage during my room change.

Dining

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the rooms were spacious and tidy with a pleasant vibe, the dining situation left something to be desired due to limited food options and some service hiccups. Still, the views from the rooms were fantastic, and the location was great for exploring the town. For the price we paid, it felt like decent value for a three-star stay.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The views over the sea were stunning, but the overall maintenance left a lot to be desired. The rooms were somewhat comfortable, but the décor felt dated, and breakfast was hit or miss with some issues in service. The location is fantastic, right by the water, but the noise from the nearby ferry terminal was quite disruptive.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were comfortable with a great view over the sea, but the décor was quite dark and dated.
Service
5.0
While there were a couple of staff members who made efforts to help, overall the service felt disinterested and lacking.
Location
8.0
The hotel is located right at the water's edge, providing a beautiful view, although it's near the ferry terminal which brings noise.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was inconsistent; it was enjoyable when the cooked options were available, but there were issues on busier days.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel has potential but needs significant updates to improve overall comfort and facilities.

7.6/10

The hotel has a charming, older character and is clean, with comfortable rooms that offer stunning views of the sea. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Lerwick. However, some areas need investment, and the dining experience can feel a bit cramped at times. Overall, it's a solid choice if you value character over modern luxury.

Rooms
8.0
The room was comfortable, clean, and had a beautiful view over the sea, perfect for falling asleep to the sound of waves.
Service
8.0
The staff were really helpful and assisted me several times during my stay.
Location
9.0
The hotel is centrally located in Lerwick, close to shops and the harbor, making it very convenient.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a bit mediocre and the dining space felt cramped with tables too close together, making it awkward to navigate.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel has an older charm, but some areas could definitely benefit from more investments to enhance comfort.
